Upper- Class 2
haven't actually done this run but from what I have heard it is an amazing play run. It is in the middle of nowhere but that is one of the magnificent things about it. There is a lot of history in this area and this is evident by all of the old gold mining 'trash' along the banks. Do not take the road too lightly as it is steep, greasy, windy, in the middle of nowhere, and massive buffs on the side of the one way road...awesome!
I'd say get amongst it!!
Lower/gorge-Class 4
Have done this one and it has to be one of my favorites. The first 10km or so is fun class 2-3 and then it all of a sudden narrows and becomes awesome! The harder rapids are quite long and would be a mission to portage but still doable. The big swing(you will know when you see it) signals that you are one drop away from the tunnel. Scout the drop at the end of the tunnel when dropping off shuttle vehicle because it is shallow and the rocks are sharp! Ask for info on the tunnel at one of the rafting companies to make sure its good to go.
I would recommend a shuttle driver and at the least a shuttle vehicle at the take out because the shuttle is huge but definitely worth it!
again check the guide book for directions
